The Laughter Club Experience

The Laughter Club is a group of people gathering to practice laughter as a form of exercise.

The Good News is:  everyone can laugh!  You don’t need to feel good first.  You don’t need to be happy.  There is no need for jokes or comedy.  You don’t even need a sense of humor.  The practice of laughing itself improves your mood, and then you do feel good.  Laughter as exercise develops your sense of humor, and – by creating the Chemistry of Happiness – delivers many health benefits.

Laguna Laughter Club

(Click here to find laughter clubs worldwide)

The Laguna Laughter Club is the first club in the Western World to meet seven days a week.

LOCATION – The laughers gather daily on the sand at the northernmost end of “Main Beach” in Laguna Beach (Pacific Coast Highway at Broadway/Route 133).  This area is also known as “Bird Rock Beach”.  If the tide is low enough, we go as far north as the sand opposite Bird Rock, below the Gazebo of Heisler Park (375 W. Cliff Dr., off PCH near the Laguna Art Museum and Las Brisas Restaurant).  If it is raining, we meet under the Gazebo.  We laugh every day including all holidays.  Parking is without  charge in the area indicated on the map below as “Neighborhood Parking.”

After a few minutes of socializing and enjoying the scenery, the group performs easy stretching, breathing exercises, and laughter practices, ending with a guided relaxation.  Each session runs approximately 45 minutes.

All meetings are FREE, and everyone is welcome. Animals must obey leash laws; children must be supervised (kids usually need to play nearby, yet apart, when the grownups are relaxing).  Smoking is not allowed on the beach, nor in any public areas in the city.

Most laughter clubs are FREE. Love Donations are often welcome (but club leaders are having such a great time laughing, they usually forget to even ask).
